Free Solar Energy Seminar
Hempstead Town To Host Solar Energy Seminar:
Learn How Solar Power Can Benefit Your Home or Business
As the winter chill sets in, soaring energy
consumption can become a costly burden for homeowners and increase
demands placed on the environment. In response to these serious
concerns, Supervisor Kate Murray has announced that Hempstead Town is
hosting a free Solar Energy Seminar to explain how residents can
reduce their electric bills and help save the planet by switching to
solar power. The seminar will be held on Thursday, November 29 at 7:00
p.m. at Hempstead Town’s Conservation and Waterways Building on Lido
Boulevard in Point Lookout.
Steve Engelmann of the Solar Center will present the
seminar. Renewable energy experts, solar technology installers, and
satisfied homeowners will also be on hand to discuss the benefits of
converting to household solar power. The multiple tax credits and LIPA
rebates that make installing a solar energy system affordable will
also be detailed.
Solar energy is a convenient and viable alternative
energy source, and Hempstead Town has been at the forefront of
harnessing the sun’s energy to run town facilities. “Using solar power
technology, we have been able to reduce pollution, conserve natural
resources, and reduce the town’s energy costs,” said Councilwoman
Angie Cullin. “Individuals and businesses can also incorporate this
cost-effective and environmentally-friendly technology into their
overall power schemes.”
Pre-event registration is required. To register,
please call 516-431-9200.
“Hempstead Town is committed to bringing clean and
efficient energy to our neighborhoods,” concluded Murray. “We hope
that many homeowners will join us in our effort to maximize the
benefits of renewable energy technologies.”
