Spirit to Seniors
Town of Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray has announced that
December’s GLO (Golden Learning Opportunities) program will focus on
the beauty of sound and the joy of the holiday season, with an
orchestra performing a variety of festive songs.
On Thursday, December 6, the chamber orchestra from W.T. Clarke
High School of East Meadow will perform an assortment of holiday
classics to welcome the winter season. The 10-string instruments of
the orchestra will perform under the direction of Adriana Donovan, and
refreshments will be provided for all.
The program begins at 1 p.m. at the Merrick Senior Center located
at 2550 Clubhouse Road in Merrick. The free program is hosted by the
Town of Hempstead Department of Senior Enrichment and is open to all
members of the public over the age of 60. It is not necessary to be a
member of a senior center or club to attend any GLO event.
