ELMONT DADS’ SERVICE CLUB HOLDING
ANNUAL THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE
Help make the holidays a little brighter for less fortunate families
in Elmont by donating to the Elmont Dads’ Service Club food drive.
The drive is being held November 1-17. Boxes, cans or bags of
imperishable food can be delivered to any of the Elmont elementary
schools during regular school hours.
Last year, dads and district students sorted through boxes of food to
make baskets and delivered them to 12 local families.
The Elmont Dads’ Service Club encourages fathers, grandfathers, uncles
and guardians to join their ranks and help them in their good work. If
you would like to become a part of this vital school-community
organization, contact Dennis Cowan at 326-5540, or Dr. Valerie Reese
at 326-5560 or come to one of our monthly meetings:

The mission of the Elmont Union Free School District is to "reach and
teach for excellence," which means continually improving instruction
and increasing student achievement. Dedication to this goal is what
has earned Elmont New York State
recognition for its "High Performing/Gap Closing Schools," and as a
state "model for school success." In partnership with the community,
the district holds its students to the highest standards while
maintaining one of the lowest per-pupil expenditures in Nassau County.
