Ahkeel Rodney Selected to U18 National Team

U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team head coach Bob Jenkins announced his list of 72 players invited in for the mega-camp from January 17-24 at the IMG Academies in Bradenton, Fla.

One of the players selected is, Elmont's own, Ahkeel Rodney. The Elmont Memorial junior, and team captain of the Spartans lead all of Long Island in goals in 2007. We congratulate him, and all of his coaches.

Jenkins and 10 assistant coaches will instruct and evaluate players during the week-long camp and evaluate them for the next cycle of Under-20s.

We wish Rodney the best and continued success for a potential spot for the FIFA 2009 U20 World Cup in Egypt.
